Purpose of data collection
When you make a parking reservation for Heathrow Airport on our website, we ask you for the following personal details: email address, telephone number, number plate and flight number. We also use this data to improve your user experience and to send you newsletters. For information about user experience, please read our cookies policy. We ask for your email and telephone number so that we can contact you with the details of your reservation, we ask for your number plate so the parking provider is able to recognise your car upon your arrival to the car park, and it is also a necessary security measure. If you opt for Valet Parking, your number plate will be needed for the chauffeur to recognise your vehicle. Your flight number is required so the parking provider can check if your flight is delayed or not as this can affect the Valet service and the transfer for the Shuttle service. It also avoids you having any further long waiting times after your delay.
Moreover, the newsletters we send you are for commercial reasons but are also to give you information about different parking options at different airports. We send you these via email. Google Analytics is used to allow us to tailor our website to make it more user-friendly and customer-oriented. The data we acquire is anonymous so none of your personal details appear, only data regarding the way you surf your browser. We only transfer this data to the parking provider with your permission.
We will no longer store your data if you unsubscribe with us, and if you contact us by email, we will store your name and email address for no longer than 2 years. The data received from Google Analytics will also only be stored for no more than 2 years.
We will not store or copy your data anywhere other than in our system and software, or in any physical form. All of this data is free for you to access in your personal account on our website and will not be sold to any third party websites. Our website is secured by SSL certificate so sensitive data will be protected and your connection kept private. This is indicated by the HTTPS prefix before the URL address.
You can contact us by email or phone if you want to access your personal data. You have a right to your data so you can access it, or have it erased, at any time you wish. See our contact page for how to get in touch.
